KUALA LUMPUR: Supermax Corp Bhd
will likely be joining the FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI constituents in its next review following the rise in its market capitalisation.
The next KLCI review result is due on Dec 3 and the changes will be effective on Dec 21.
“Our analysis based on market cap data as of Nov 23 revealed that Supermax is likely to be included, replacing KLCCP Stapled Securities,” CGS-CIMB Research said in a report.
It noted that based on yesterday’s closing price, Supermax had risen to the 24th position, hence qualifying to be included into the index.
