KUALA LUMPUR (May 28): FSBM Holdings Bhd’s (KL:FSBM) wholly owned subsidiary FSBM MES Elite Sdn Bhd has signed agreements related to business opportunities involving power backup solutions with Syarikat Logam Unitrade Sdn Bhd and T-Parus Trading Co Ltd.

In two separate joint statements, FSBM said it is collaborating with Syarikat Logam Unitrade Sdn Bhd to explore opportunities and expand market access for the technology known as T-Parus Technology Voltage Sag Protector and other equipment. Syarikat Logam Unitrade is a wholly owned subsidiary of Unitrade Industries Bhd (KL:UNITRAD).

Its second agreement is with T-Parus Trading to market, sell and service its technology across Southeast Asia.

FSBM said T-Parus Technology Voltage Sag Protector and related equipment relate to power backup solutions that are used in, but are not limited to the semiconductor sector, and that it will provide expert technical guidance and support to Unitrade, who will work to facilitate broader market access for the equipment and technology.

“This includes targeting commercial and industrial customers across various sectors, such as mining and metal, manufacturing, data centres, healthcare, telecommunications, financial services, utilities, chemical and petrochemical, aerospace and defence, public infrastructure, and commercial buildings,” the statement said.

The technology is known for its multifunctional capabilities and ensures uninterrupted power supply, safeguarding sensitive electronic equipment from damage.

The statement said the technology is innovatively designed and does not need traditional battery backups. It also offers scalable solutions that are both energy efficient and environmentally friendly, the statement said.

FSBM managing director Pang Kiew Kun said the company will expand into new sectors to expand the use of the technology. This expansion will include suitable supporting equipment for both semiconductor frontend and backend manufacturing processes which align with the Madani government’s ambition to position Malaysia’s semiconductor industry to move up the value chain,” he said.
