KUALA LUMPUR (March 28): Renewable energy firm Cypark Resources Bhd has bagged three contracts from the Department of National Solid Waste Management worth a total of RM28.48 million.

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia this evening, Cypark said it received a five-year contract to operate a leachate treatment plant in Pajam and Bukit Palong β€” both in Negeri Sembilan β€” for RM12.15 million and RM11.37 million respecitvely.

The two contracts will commence from April 3 this year and will end on April 2, 2022.

The third contract, said Cypark, is for operating a leachate treatment plant in Kuantan, Pahang, for two years, which will commence from April 3 this year till April 2, 2019. The contract is worth RM4.95 million.

β€œThe board of directors are of the opinion that the contracts are in the best interest of Cypark. The works are expected to contribute positively to the earnings and would not have any effect on the share capital or shareholdings of the substantial shareholders,” the company added.

Cypark shares closed one sen or 0.45% higher to RM2.25 today, valuing it at a market capitalisation of RM569.11 million.
